• Transaction Information: Donation and giving records, including amounts, dates, fund designations, and payment method identifiers (we do not store full payment card numbers).
• Content: Messages, event requests, calendar entries, and other content you create or submit through our Services.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device & Usage Data: Browser type, operating system, IP address, pages visited, access times, and referring URLs.
• Cookies & Similar Technologies: We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information from authentication providers (such as Supabase Auth) when you sign in via email magic link or phone OTP verification.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Process and manage donations and giving transactions;
• Send you service-related communications, including account verification, security alerts, and administrative notices;
• Send you SMS/text messages and email communications that you have opted into;

3. SMS/Text Messaging Privacy

Parish Center offers SMS/text message communications to Users who affirmatively opt in. When you opt in to receive SMS messages from Parish Center, you consent to receive text messages relating to parish communications, event notifications, group updates, and other informational messages from your parish community.

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Upon receipt of your STOP request, we will confirm your unsubscription and cease all SMS communications. For help, reply HELP to any message or contact us at support@parishcenter.net. Message frequency varies. Standard message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase or use of our Services.

4. Disclosure of Information

We may disclose your information in the following limited circumstances:

• Parish Administrators: Authorized parish staff may access your profile, contact information, and parish-related records as necessary for parish administration.
• Service Providers: We use third-party service providers (such as Telnyx for SMS delivery, payment processors for donations, and cloud hosting providers) who process data on our behalf under strict contractual obligations to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Parish Center, our Users, or the public.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the acquirer's commitment to honor this Privacy Policy.

We do not sell personal information. We have not sold personal information in the preceding twelve (12) months and have no plans to do so.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest, row-level security policies enforced at the database layer, role-based access controls, regular security assessments, and secure authentication via email magic links and phone OTP (no password storage).

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. SMS opt-in/opt-out records are retained as required by applicable telecommunications regulations. Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to opt out of SMS or email communications at any time. If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing." As stated above, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
